Mosami is an ethical jewellery brand that works with British designers to create contemporary and unique pieces, inspired by a desire to promote a greater connection with nature, our planet and between people. The brand is driven by the belief that jewellery should not only be beautiful but also become a source for human empowerment.
Every Mosami piece contains a unique duality; the combination of finely crafted aesthetic qualities and a strong symbolic power. This characteristic nature is summarised in the core thought 'Beautiful & Smart', which informed every aspect of the identity.
The logo embodies this duality by combining elegant typography with a dynamic stroke, which conveys the empowering qualities of the pieces and alludes to the brand's connection with nature. This is supported by a symbol, constructed directly from this stroke.
The overall look and feel is muted, refined and contemporary. As part of the identity elements a fine floral pattern was developed to support brand materials and to provide distinction and recognition.
A key deliverable of the project involved the concept and design of the packaging, which is inspired by the blooming of a flower. The piece rests inside the container, carefully wrapped in scented tissue paper together with a card containing information about its symbolic properties.
Built with e-commerce platform Shopify, the online shop was developed as a destination for the Mosami global community. This is a hub where, beyond purchasing beautiful jewellery, customers would find inspiration, insights and resources to make the most of their pieces and to unlock their empowering properties.
The design is clean and intuitive, giving full prominence to the pieces and the stories behind them. A curated selection of inspiring model photography (by Sarah Maingot) is introduced to support the product and to enhance the experience.
